Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SupStudio (SupStudio; “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our websites and mobile applications (the “Services”).
It applies to our current products — including Sudoku, PlantPal — and to future apps, games, tools, and websites we publish under SupStudio, unless a product posts a separate notice that replaces this one.
Questions: premangshu@supstudio.in. Website: https://supstudio.in.
App Store and Google Play listings for each product may include additional short-form privacy disclosures. Those labels describe that product; this Policy is the company-wide explanation.
1. What we collect
What we collect depends on which product you use and which features you turn on. Across the portfolio, that may include:
Identifiers
- Device and install identifiers, IP address, and internal IDs we create to operate accounts or sync (including anonymous auth IDs where used)
- Advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA or Google’s Advertising ID) only where a product uses advertising or attribution and platform rules allow it
Account and profile
- Optional display names or profile fields (for example for leaderboards)
- Linked sign-in details if you choose to connect an account where a product supports that
Product activity
- Games (for example Sudoku): progress, scores, streaks, difficulty stats, daily challenge status, settings, soft currency balances, and saved puzzle state
- Utility apps (for example PlantPal): plant identification requests, care preferences or reminders you set, and related in-app history needed to provide those features
- Feature usage, session timing, and similar interaction data used to run and improve the Services
Photos, camera, and files
Some products (such as PlantPal) may ask for camera or photo-library access so you can identify a plant or attach media. Access is optional and requested only when you use those features. Images you submit for identification or support are processed to provide that feature; we do not use your camera when you are not using a camera-based feature.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription or in-app item, the store (Google Play, Apple App Store, or similar) processes payment. We may receive purchase status, product IDs, and related transaction metadata — not your full card number.
Device and diagnostics
Device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, and performance signals that help us keep the Services stable.
Approximate location
Country or region (and sometimes city) inferred from IP address for security, localization, and compliance. We do not collect precise GPS unless a specific product asks for it and you agree.
Support and communications
Your email address and message content when you contact premangshu@supstudio.in or use in-app support, plus public store reviews you leave about our apps.
Website cookies
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies that are needed to run the site, remember preferences, or measure traffic. Where analytics or advertising cookies require consent under local law, we will request it.
2. Where the information comes from
- You, when you enter information or upload media
- Your device and our apps, automatically while you use the Services
- App stores and platforms that distribute our products
- Service providers that help us host, analyze, message, or support the Services (see Section 5)
- Advertising or attribution partners, only if a product integrates them
3. How we use information
- Provide core product features (gameplay, identification, reminders, sync, leaderboards, and similar)
- Save progress, preferences, and purchase entitlements
- Process optional media you submit (for example plant photos) to return results you requested
- Send push notifications you enable
- Respond to support requests
- Fix bugs, measure performance, and improve products
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Show ads or measure campaigns where a product is ad-supported
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of: performing our contract with you (our Terms), legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, consent (where required, such as certain cookies, notifications, or personalized ads), and legal obligations.
4. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example while your account or device records remain active, while we provide support, or as required for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
Data stored only on your device stays there until you clear app data, uninstall, or use an in-app reset. Cloud data tied to an anonymous ID may become unreachable if you uninstall without linking a recoverable sign-in. When we no longer need personal data, we delete or anonymize it.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for cash. We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Infrastructure providers — such as Google Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, databases, messaging, hosting, and related backend functions
- AI / processing providers — where a product (such as PlantPal) sends content you submit to a model or API solely to return the feature result you requested
- App stores — for distribution, billing, and platform services
- Advertising and analytics partners — only if a given product integrates them
- Public product surfaces — limited fields you choose to show (for example a display name and score on a leaderboard)
- Legal and business transfers — if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required)
In some U.S. states, use of advertising identifiers with ad networks can be treated as a “sale” or “share” for targeted advertising. See Section 9 for opt-out rights.
6. International processing
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours (including where cloud services are hosted). Those places may have different privacy laws. Where transfer rules apply, we use appropriate safeguards offered by our providers or required by law.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 / another higher age where your country requires it). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you think a child provided information to us, email premangshu@supstudio.in and we will delete it where required.
8. Your choices and rights
You can usually:
- Control notification permission in system settings
- Deny or revoke camera / photo permissions in system settings
- Reset local progress or clear app data where the product allows
- Limit ad tracking through iOS or Android advertising / tracking settings
- Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal data we hold by emailing premangshu@supstudio.in
If GDPR or similar laws apply, you may also have rights to restrict processing, object to certain processing (including marketing), withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Exercising some rights may limit features that depend on that data.
9. U.S. state privacy rights
If you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example California or other states with similar statutes), you may have rights to know what we collect, delete or correct personal information, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by local law. Some states also allow an appeal if we deny a request.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation, health diagnoses, or biometrics) for our general product portfolio. Plant photos you voluntarily submit for identification are used to provide that feature, not to build a biometric identity profile of you.
To exercise these rights, email premangshu@supstudio.in with the product name and enough detail for us to verify the request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We aim to respond within the time required by applicable law (often 45 days for U.S. state requests).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service is perfectly secure. Protect your device and accounts with up-to-date software and access controls.
11. Third-party links
The Services may link to third-party sites or SDKs we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy as our products change. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we post an update. For significant changes we may also notify you in-app or on the website. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy, except where law requires a different process (such as new consent).
